In typical automated bioethanol fires, placing accessories directly on top of the flame is generally discouraged; actually, prolonged exposure can lead to deterioration, resulting in debris, smoke, and unpleasant odours, and may even damage the mechanisms.
However, with FLOGS, Planika has devised an ingenious method to address this concern. The flames dance around the logs, reminiscent of a bonfire, without consuming them—unless the fuel tank is empty or you use the remote control to extinguish the fire. There is no smoke, no soot, and no need for a chimney.
Two structural elements support the logs, and also function as heat diffusers, effectively distributing the flame around the logs to prevent direct contact. This not only enhances the illusion that the flames emanate from the logs but also ensures their longevity. Remarkably, these logs are constructed from materials far more durable than traditional ceramic fibre accessories.
The burner model is the FLA4 990, featuring a 5.5-litre tank that includes BEV technology, remote control with six stages of flame height adjustment, numerous safety sensors, and 100% heat efficiency. Consequently, with FLOGS, one truly experiences the pinnacle of Planika's technology and innovation, culminating in a fireplace that exudes authenticity without requiring a flue.
There are three different installation options available:
- The burner alone, with an optional adaptive frame and glass screens (available at an additional cost).
- Incorporation within the FORMA casing (also available at an additional cost), which includes the glass panels.
- A chimney connection, should you require the extraction and redirection of excess heat.
BEV Technology®
Planika has patented a technological solution, to ensure safe operating of our bioethanol burners.
The innovative BEV technology ensures efficient combustion, also providing a captivating and safe fire experience.
The device efficiently heats up the fuel inside the tank, transforming it into vapours. With precision, the burner ignites these vapours, creating a mesmerizing and authentic flame.
As a result, there is no direct contact between the fire and the flammable liquid. Additionally, the combustion process doesn’t emit smoke, soot or ash.

6-STAGE FLAME HEIGHT
The burner has an option of 6-stage flame height – the lower level for a longer burning time, and higher for a stronger heat. Considering the tank has a capacity of 5.5L, you can enjoy your flame for up to 8 hours while on an eco-mode.
INTEGRATED CONTROL PANEL
The design of the control panel allows for an intuitive usage of the bioethanol burner.
FLUE NOT REQUIRED
The product doesn’t require the installation of a flue or any other pre-existing chimneys before the installation of this product.

CARBON NEUTRALITY
They always try to make sure that their products don’t leave an excessive carbon footprint on the environment. That’s why Planika’s bioethanol burners rely on the Net Zero Technology; plants from yearly seasonal crops are used in the production of the bioethanol, which later fuels the burner.
The combustion process of these products are water vapour, heat, and an insignificant amount of CO2. Plants in the process of photosynthesis can easily compensate the amount of carbon dioxide that the fireplace produces.
