Description

ATHENA Contemporary Bioethanol Grate is a contemporary Greek-style fire basket and also an alternative to our more traditional LEXHAM Mini Basket. It is perfect to enhance the look of your redundant fireplace and can be decorated with Black Pebbles for a more contemporary look or a Coal Set of your choice.

Athena grate is easy to use and durable in time.

Firstly, it features our standard stainless steel Container Mini burner, producing stunning flames for 2.5-4 hours per 750 ml refill. Moreover, by sliding the lid, you can regulate the size of the flame, the heat output and the burning time. Additionally. the lid includes Fragrance Diffusers therefore the burner is compatible with our Aura fragrance oils.

Finally, this fire basket is suitable for DIY fireplace conversion; however, it produces a real flame so regular fire regulations for building fireplaces will apply.

Very attractive with some ceramic logs

Looks great in situ, perfect fit for our small space. Best price for anything similar online. We bought a fuel funnel to help with filling. Seems to burn for longer than stated time which is a bonus. So cosy to have a real flame on a chilly evening, and it's easy to extinguish if fuel still left in - just use the poker that comes with fire to slide metal shutter closed. I needed to re-arrange work to receive delivery, and reaching Biofires again to confirm was difficult. However they called me next working day to organise, and all went smoothly from there. We bought one fragrance oil to go with the fire and are split about whether we like it!

Pleasantly surprised

Ordered this fire basket to sit in an unused fire place. I wasnt sure what to expect in terms of heat, but it soon warmed the room to a cosy warm. The real flame is great. I am impressed and only wish we had purchased sooner.

Athena Fire Insert

Ordered 2 very pleased with design of fires they look great in my victorian fire places. Great customer service delivered within few days or order. Burn time is not great 2 hours if you have fully open for best effect and warmth.

My Biofire - 4 weeks on

Really impressed with my Biofire so far. It’s much more than just a ‘good looker. ’ Even though it’s not been fully tested by a British winter, it certainly gives off some decent heat and is both easy to set up and manage. And, the luxury log set looks just like the ‘real thing. ’ Also, Biofires were extremely helpful in advising me throughout the buying process and beyond, when I had some further questions. So, all in all a big recommend from me!
